Welcome to Boompoet.com, a collection of musing, ramblings, and afterthoughts concocted by a cluttered brain. Here you will find travel logs, photos, illustrations, random thoughts, opinions on everything from politics to the cures for society’s ills.
I started perpetual travel in 2007 and I’ve been all over the country training customer service personnel. It’s a rewarding job with the added benefit that I am now a tourist no matter where I go. The travel does take me away from the comfort and familiarity of home, but as Mark Twain once said, “Travel is fatal to Prejudice, Bigotry, and Narrow Mindedness…”. I find I am a much more socially accepting and open person given the years on the road and ability to encounter other cultures within the USA…. not that I was all that intolerant to begin with.
I am married to an exceptional woman who makes coming home worth the effort. She’s a talented artist and educator / librarian / dog mom who has a site of her own. Check out her work and life. She’s much more interesting than I am. Her painting are incredible and she’s mastered oils in a way I’ve never been able to.
I hope you find something here of interest. Thanks for stopping by.
